This one’s not about food: Power of Movement

On Sunday, I participated in the Power of Movement, Canada’s largest yoga fundraiser. I was one among many who helped to raise money towards critical research of arthritis and auto-immune diseases.

I was part of the Fearless Heart Yoga team, and we were one of the top three fundraisers in our community. Here’s our team (unfortunately not everyone could stay for the photo):

Despite still being sick, it was truly a rewarding experience. One of the speakers told a personal story about her struggle with arthritis and how charitable donations to the cause have enriched her life. It’s nice to hear from someone who has directly benefited from the charity for which I had helped to raise funds.

Thank you to my friends and family who donated, allowing me to participate in the 2012 Power of Movement!
